"Moving Money" with ING
I transfer money back from ING to my current account every month, and always make the request manually on a Sunday evening, with money hitting my account on Wednesday usually. I've seen there is a facility to arrange for the transfer to be done "sometime in the future" but have never used it before. I'm away on holiday…

£3000 for Child to invest
We were given £3000 for our 5 year old daughter last year and put in the Yorkshire Building Society Treasure Bond paying 5.25% gross. It runs out on 01/08/05 and so we have a month to move it anywhere we like or roll it over for another year (probably at a rate of 4.5% gross I think). We will take the £160ish interest out…

land investment
posted this in the property section, but would like everyones opinion here also. Ever growing population= more new housing= more land needed for new homes. I have been recently looking into buying land with a view to selling it on in the future for a profit. Not looking for land with planning permission, as this obviously…

Hi folks. First time poster here so be gentle :) I applied around 3 months ago for the A&L Premier Plus account, but was only given the Premier account. Would i be able to ask A&L to 're-check' me again, to see if I now qualify for the Premier Plus, or is it a case of shutting down the Premier, and starting from scratch?…

It Asda be George
If your kid's named George or Georgina and was born after 1st September 2002 there's a £50 bonus available if you open an ASDA Child Trust Fund for them in August. Take your kid's birth certificate to ASDA to claim the £50 in George vouchers. Whilst making a decision on such an incentive isn't always a good idea the £50…

R85 form
Hi I am a student, setting up an easy access savings account. I was told that in order to avoid tax on my interest, I should fill in an R85 form. However, the form only seems to be for people on low income, not students! It doesn't have anywhere for me to say "I am a student and thats why you shouldn't tax me". Is this…

Leeds & Holbeck Interest
Just viewed my Leeds & Holbeck Online Saver to make a withdrawal and noticed that they have shown the interest as credited for the 31st July 05. This is also available to withdraw. Now today is Wednesday 27th. I know the 31st is Sunday. But is it normal to give this money in advance or am I losing 2/3 working days interest?
