Hi all
I want to start up a savings account for the money that my hubby makes refereeing.
I would like it to be:
Internet accessible
High Interest
Instant Access
What do you all recommend? The only one I've looked at is the First Direct one which has an interest rate of 5.20%. Is there a better one?
Thanks in advance

Personally I would not go for the FD account as you get no interest in any month you make a withdrawal.
Do you and your hubby both have an ISA? If no put £3k into one first eg: Yorkshire BS have an e-ISA paying 5.2% on £10+.
Cahoot is currently offerring 5.1% on its easy access (internet) account, Yorkshire BS have a (non-ISA) internet savings account paying 5% on £1+ Nationwide BS also have an e-savings account also paying 5% on £1+ but you need to open a flexaccount (current ac) to get that, but you can just get a basic bank account if you wanted.
If you have children you can get a Family 1st account (accessible via net) from Coventry BS paying 7.25% variable  on child benefit money and 5.25% on the rest.
Abbey, Halifax, HSBC, Dudley BS and probably a few others have regular saver accounts offering a rate of 7ish% fixed for one year after which they are transferred to a normal instant access account, I dont know if these accounts come with internet access.
If you can live without internet access consider consider Derbyshire BS regular saver offering 5.85% on going for £10pm.
Not advice,

I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0
