A good solid high yeild stock portfolio, a high % of which hedged by long-term put options ....

Going on recent performance - maybe 15-20% per annum...

You might possibly obtain more replies to your question if you titled your thread more relevantly ;).

Come now, this is somewhat misleading. 15-20% p.a. may have happened over the last few months, but it is hardly sustainable for any significant length of time.

As I said... going by recent performance, last 2 years...

We have had a bear market that lasted 3 years, so why not a bull market spanning 3-7 years ?

Fine........ I agree, you take it a day, week, month at a time, i.e. if the markets strong you hold or add.. if it starts weakening then you start reducing... and / or hedge...

So yeh its done well over the last 2 years, and who knows how far it will actually go .... But I do recall the bull market of the 90's ! I mean back in 1996 ! people were calling the top ! What with Greenspan and his legendary exhuberence speech.. did it top ? did it hell on it went for another 3 solid years !

Anyway, thats where Ive put about 20% of my money into... and I may up that to 25% as it continues to TREND in the right direction.
