Hit a dead end with Mortgage PPI - help
My parents decided to venture down the PPI re-claiming path after my Mum thought they never really had PPI. I had a look through their old Mortgage agreement and they paid a £1000 cash upfront payment to a mortgage broker for PPI insurance - paying out £200 per month should they have required it. Now, I can not locate the…

Halifax wont provide Account No
Hi guys can someone help me please? I had a loan with Halifax that I repaid approximately 10 years ago. I no longer have the roll number so rang their PPI line, who told me to direct my query to their loans customer service. They in turn told me to write in with all my details, which I did, and they've written back to say…

Britannia still collecting ppi for a mortgage paid off 3 years ago
Has anyone had similar? Britannia BS debiting our account by around £50 per month for ppi on a mortgage that was completely paid off 3 years ago. Other half had assumed it was his life insurance but, looking closer, it's not - it's definitely ppi. Obviously really frustrating that we have only just noticed this. However -…

Amex records
Has anyone had any success claiming PPI from Amex? I had a credit card from 1996 to roughly 2006. I wrote complaining but they have replied stating that they haven't kept records that far back, it therefore looks like I've hit a brick wall. Has anyone had any luck with them? JS

Strange call from MBNA
Hi I claimed my ppi back from MBNA about four years ago, had the payment and thought the matter was closed. They called and said they had made a calculation error and that I would be sent a letter and another cheque through the mail. I'm a bit worried (I'm ill and struggle with phone calls/stress etc) that although the…

TSB Payment Protection 1990
In 1989/90, I took out a policy with the old TSB, long before they became a part of the Lloyds Group. The policy was a form of salary/payment protection. Each month a pre-agreed amount was paid on a monthly basis. The aim was that when you experienced a loss of income it would 'kick in' and ensure that your monthly…

Claim ppi - never dreamed we'd get anything
I never ever thought claiming PPI applied to us - over 15 years, if we had a loan or card etc. and took out insurance when we applied we always cancelled it. When we recently had an IVA the company put us in touch with a PPI specialist and we agreed for them to check. We were shocked when we were owed over £2000 by several…

Claim pip before an iva
We recently applied for an IVA. Once it was set up they asked if a company could do a PPI check and any funds gained would be paid to creditors. I genuinely didn't think we held any but after just 4 weeks there was over £2000 due - but obviously it went to the creditors. Had I known I would have done the PPI ourselves and…

Package account and 6 year rule
Looking for a bit of advice. I have complained about a packaged account I had between 1995 - 2006. I had a response, which basically said they have reviewed, confirmed I had a packaged account, but advised would not be investigating further as 6 years had passed, I should have complained within that time. is this correct ?
