Claim ppi - never dreamed we'd get anything

I never ever thought claiming PPI applied to us - over 15 years, if we had a loan or card etc. and took out insurance when we applied we always cancelled it. When we recently had an IVA the company put us in touch with a PPI specialist and we agreed for them to check. We were shocked when we were owed over £2000 by several creditors (and that was after their 30%commission) What had happened was when we took out PPI there was an initial set up fee and charge and so when we cancelled the loans, these set up charges remained on the loans/ cards totally unknown to us. The funds had to go to the creditors of the IVA. .NEVER think it's not worth applying.
