Amex records

Has anyone had any success claiming PPI from Amex?

I had a credit card from 1996 to roughly 2006. I wrote complaining but they have replied stating that they haven't kept records that far back, it therefore looks like I've hit a brick wall.

Has anyone had any luck with them?

It is not unexpected that they have little or no record. Most card providers keep around 6-10 years worth of statements on a rolling basis.

If you have any records, they can use your copies.

So, as you say, your "complaint" has hit a brick wall.
