Any advice welcome. I've just been looking through my pension papers and realised i am paying a payment protection insurance. I was a few years back paying in £2000 a month. I was led to believe this insurance would cover me incase of an accident and i couldn't work (i'm self employed) I then got injured, couldn't work,…

I've not got any paperwork from the loan and I have contacted HSBC via customer services/internet banking, who have no record. Am I too late and/or wasting my time as they changed name etc.…

PPI Reclaim no proof of actual amounts paid
I have a copy of my contract I had with Capital One which clearly shows a box ticked to have PPI protection but this was back in 2001 after several years I canceled the PPI. They have sent me a statement but because it goes back nearly 16 years they don't have detailed info on the amount of PPI each month I paid, it just…

What was the interest rate in Nat West in 2003
I was given an agreed overdraft limit of £250. The bank as a gesture of good will increased this to £500 then £750 then £1,000 I was unemployed and this was morally wrong. They even gave me a credit card. I am currently claiming all interest and charges on the credit card with the FOS. If I new what the inters rate was for…

Hello I'm just wondering if someone can clear up a question, I have a Credit card that is now run by Barclaycard, I didn't take out this card with them it was originally a Morgan Stanley Card, then I think it went to someone else and then became Barclaycard. If I contact Barclaycard are they able to check for PPI on the…

Basic insurance for a temporary resident
I am in the UK for a temporary project (for a year) with no UK salary. I want to get a basic medical issuance to cover basic medical services (checkups, visiting a doctor for a cold, basic dental care, etc) rather than unexpected medical services such as surgery or so. What is the best (and cheapest) option for me to get a…

no paperwork to query ppi
Hi, I'm going through all my finances at the moment and figured I should make the effort to try and reclaim any PPI I may have paid over the years. I wanted to start with DFS & Currys credit agreement from about 9-10 years ago however I no longer have the paperwork to see if I was unwittingly sold PPI. Has anyone had this…

Bank of Scotland
After several successful claims against BOS for previous loans, they seem unwilling to uphold any credit cards that were either applied for online or Flyer. Long story short, I put in several claims for loans which they couldn't have been more helpful, I filled in their form and weeks later they paid out. However With the…

PPI back to the 1970's
Just watched the MLM Show and I'm now wondering if I'm one of those who may have buried-their-head-in-the-sand regarding PPI. I've had Mortgages and Bank Loans going back to the 1970's and Credit Cards since they came out. I've always stated on Mortgages & Bank Loans that I did not want PPI, but after listening to the MLM…

The agreement was a…

Mortgage PPI
Hi I was miss sold a mortgage PPI but I hear that most people get rejected whilst trying to claim on a mortgage PPI. I can still remember the conversation I had on the phone, it went "you have to make your mind up if you want this as it is only a one time offer today". I paid £41 for many years and was wondering if anyone…

Barclays Family Income Protection Plan
From 1993 to 2007 I paid into a Barclays Family Income Protection Plan. This matured in 2007 and I received a small amount of cash back as Maturity Value. In 2013 Thisismoney ran an article stating that these policies were being dropped as they had been deemed by the Competition Commission as another form of PPI. (sorry…

HSBC life insurance and payment protection
My husband and I applied for our first mortgage back in 2010 with HSBC. Is…

Increased Debt and a CCJ because of PPI claim
Hi All, Please bear with me as this is a long and winding road, and forgive me if I miss any information, I was at the time of this happening, going through a very difficult time and am a little hazy on some of the detail.
