PPI Reclaim no proof of actual amounts paid

I have a copy of my contract I had with Capital One which clearly shows a box ticked to have PPI protection but this was back in 2001 after several years I canceled the PPI. They have sent me a statement but because it goes back nearly 16 years they don't have detailed info on the amount of PPI each month I paid, it just shows I paid an amount it doesen't break it down into part repayment and part PPI insurance. So I have no proof what I actually paid. Could they claim it was all just repayment and no PPI as it's not on the statements?

You don't claim it back, you complain it was missold to start with. If you agreed to it, then cancelled it, then are you saying youve been paying ti since you cancelled it?
If your complaint is that, then they may have records from when you say you cancelled it, so the easiest thing to do is just make a complaint and see what happens.
