FSA to blame for judicial review
Hi, In my opinion the FSA are to blame for the judicial review by the banks with regard to PPI mis-selling, let me explain. The FSA are a toothless government quango, shortly for the chop, who apparently are tasked with 'championing' the man in the street and of looking after their interests. A whole cocktail of problems…

Mortgage PPI missold by broker?
Hi all, I've just noticed that for a year I've been paying £50 a month for Buildings Ins. and PPI that I didn't agree to sign up to. I signed up for a Halifax mortgage through a broker, we discussed PPI and insurance and I declined to take it up. My keyfacts about the mortgage that the broker gave me shows this section…

Bad advice on block ASU
Four years ago, we accepted, what we are now realising, some bad financial advice and bought a block ASU, which was added to the mortgage. After reading about all the reclaiming options available now, we wondered if there was any way of claiming against the company who gave the advice. I dare hardly admit we were taken as…

How Long is too Long?
I have a few questions regarding reclaiming PPI, as if I can, I need to do it to help reduce my debts. When I was 18 (1998) I was issued with a credit card from LloydsTSB, which I was originally quite good with, but eventually ended up maxing out. 3 years later, whilst a student I was offered £5000 worth of loan from…

Do Banks Pay FOS A Fee Every Query?
I have a relative in the banking industry. He says that a fee of around £500 is payable whenever a client challenges a banking decision via the FOS. Maybe that's why they pay out small amounts without quibbling and therefore avoid necessitating their customers taking up the matter with the FOS? :T
