Amazon Reviews Misleading or Mistake?
Just looking for a new Lawnmower on Amazon. I found what I think I want, see it is 4 stars from over 300 reviews. Just about to buy it but notice all the reviews and questions are for an older model. Looked at another model and the same thing. Is this a bit of clever misleading from Amazon or simply a mistake? Anyone else…

CCTV and GDPR
CCTV is not a new subject to Data Protection but the new GDPR raises some new issues. AIUT - "Screens displaying live or recorded footage should only ever be viewed by authorised individuals and not members of the public who stray past a security guard post or CCTV operation room. " Does that mean that all the petrol…

Big thumbs up to Lifestyle Services Group who manage the Mobile Phone Insurance linked to my Nationwide Flex Plus account. - Daughter dropped her iPhone 6s Plus on Tuesday morning this week - Screen smashed / earpiece buzzing during calls. - I called LSG Tuesday afternoon. - Phone posted to LSG Wednesday morning (Special…

Super Speedy and Helpful Hargreaves Lansdown
I just wanted to give a shoutout to HL who have been fantastic getting us our LISA money on really short notice. I was already impressed after they released the capital we put in within 7 days bang on the 1 year anniversary last week to allow us to exchange on the 1 year anniversary. But then went even further paying the…

Driveway Patio Scam?
We booked a guy to come do our back patio. Small job which he booked in for around 2 weeks later. Calls and texts to arrange this, no payment upfront. Turned up two days late for maybe an hour (when i wasn't home) and did a little digging and left some tools ready for job (he said). Few days later asked for money towards…

WARNING | 02 calls to Virgin numbers
My Virgin number starts with 07458 and this prefix is considered by the 02 network to be a special number and therefore is chargable and yet... texts from 02 to Virgin numbers starting 07458 are not charged :( Even to hunt the phone location in the house, dialling it from an 02 tariff, with unlimited calls/texts, we were…

Well overdue | CCTV SARs and 25th May 2018 (GDPR) introduction
Currently a CCTV SAR request is up to 40days for a response and many CCTV commercial or stores or banks recordings are only 30days prior to being recorded over therefore deleting the previous 30days (Well that's my understanding) This means should a SAR request processing start on day 31 onwards, it's too late for the…

Vouchercloud - don’t pay out on offers!
What is people’s experience with Vouchercloud? I have attempted to use on what appeared an excellent offer on TUI - the old adage ‘if it appears too good then it is’ kicked in!! They used some debatable smallprint not to pay out and ignore all attempts to contact a manager. I notice on Trustpilot that others have had…

Small Claims (Money Claim Online) advice needed!
Hi, so apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but couldn't find it! We have a County Court claim against us by a builder who has done unsatisfactory work (in our opinion) - rather than complete it or mediate he has gone straight to small claims. We are responding to the MCOL, however very confused and can't find…

Hsbc
No Customer Service although they claim to have. Unprofessional, unhelpful, inept, incapable of doing anything constructive. All I can say is - don't every have dealings with them. Use another bank many out there to choose from. Do not trust them to help you when THEY make a mistake and lose your money.…

No next day delivery?
Good morning Just a bit of a rant about Nike. Purchased some trainers online on Wednesday and paid £8 for next day delivery as I NEEDED these trainers by Friday. They are sold out everywhere else too. From placing the order wednesday until yesterday evening the order status did not change from "ready for dispatch" so of…

RBS Mortgage Admin - Horrendous!!!
We always seem to have problems with the admin on our RBS mortgage lately. So much so that we are now paying off lump sums whenever we can. They treat you like they are doing you a huge favour by just talking to you about it. Made a complaint and just received a letter to say they are paying £3.06 compensation for the time…

Travelling and using Quidco?
If, like me, you travel a lot and use Quidco then be aware that Quidco does not like you. To "protect" your account you can not access Quidco from outside the UK- so you can not answer their questions, raise a claim or make any purchases. OK, easy to circumvent using a VPN until you want to withdraw your money. Use a VPN,…

Sofology beware and avoid
We recently bought a couple of sofas from sofology. I thought I would share our experience so far. One of the sofas we bought was a Chesterfield style from their Trafalgar range. When we ordered it we were told the seat comes out for ease of delivery and that the delivery team would remove it if needed. These things take a…

Ryanair - not honouring discount offer
Hi, Has anyone else come across this: I've tried to book a flight with Ryanair (Stansted - Oslo) choosing the cheapest fare option on their website. On the bottom of the page then a 10% discount offer to upgrade to 'Plus' popped up. I clicked on it and it said it added it. However, the total fare did not reflect the…

Royal Mail
Had some flowers delivered today, and at first I was puzzled why it was wrapped in polythene, then I turned it over and I can't believe the state of the box. I'm not sure how Royal Mail have managed to damage it quite so badly.... though to be fair, the flowers were fine inside the box. I should add these were unwanted…

Sainsburys and Argos
My local Sainsburys are in the process of totally ruining their store by creating an Argos outlet inside. As it's taking up quite a chunk of floor space you can already see lots of the lines disappearing from the shelves as everything else is shoe-horned in to the leftover space to make room. It used to be one of the nicer…

Praise for Talk Talk - Not kidding
Received bill for package of 38Mb fibre BB, line rental, TV Plus, Sky Sports and Anytime Calls today and noticed my discount for the latter has expired. Instead of £6 per month it is now £8.50. We are one third of the way through an 18 month contract so it would cost a fortune to leave and, having just done a price…

Corgi homeplan cover - avoid at all costs
I have, for only the second time, had to call Corgi with regards to a defect on my system. They have again found every reason why they should not repair the defect. They were supposed to conduct a service last month but as with previous years I have had to chase them up. Now the system has a defect they are refusing to…
