Amazon Reviews Misleading or Mistake?

Just looking for a new Lawnmower on Amazon.

I found what I think I want, see it is 4 stars from over 300 reviews.

Just about to buy it but notice all the reviews and questions are for an older model.

Looked at another model and the same thing.

Is this a bit of clever misleading from Amazon or simply a mistake?

Anyone else noticed this before, if so, do they do it a lot?

Sellers changing the item but keeping the same listing?

I was looking for something recently and several reviews mentioned charging their phones but this item had no power and nothing to do with phones.

No, this is being sold by Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079Z2W8BK/

Most of the reviews are for the old Rotak 40

Surely when a new model is released they can't just use the reviews from a previous model?

No. There are two items for sale on the page, and the reviews clearly state which item they refer to. Amazon are not in the habit of giving discounts to people that (wilfully) fail to read what is in front of them.

What are the reviews on this page for?

Under each reviewer it states the model they are reviewing and the star rating they have chosen for it

So the Bosch AdvancedRotak 650 doesn't have 360 reviews.

You don't find it slightly misleading that at the top of the page in the most prominent place they imply that it does?

I wonder if they do this deliberately.

I never take any notice of ratings on Amazon {or many other sites for that matter}as they are all down to personal feelings.I do note rate Apple products so for myself it would be a low star.
Just read independent web reviews from companies that know what they are talking about, not some person that feels for the price {or "fame"}will post a 5 star review for a 2 star item.
