Orange - Praise
On Friday my son's mobile phone stopped working. It was bought just before Christmas so we took it back to the Orange shop where we bought it, even though we couldn't find the receipt, hoping for it to be repaired. The assistant told us we needed to ring Orange and they would diagnose the fault over the phone and take it…

Spaceslide wardrobes - vent
After having read about someone who had a Spaceslide cupboard, because they had not included the hanging rails with their delivery all I can say is they were lucky. One Call Direct Insurance
In over 30 years of dealing with insurance companies I have never come across one as bad as this one. Nearly two weeks to send me a certificate of motor insurance, was just one of the many issues I was frustrated with. I have now cancelled my policy, at a loss, and happy to have gone with another company.

Dog fouling our garden, all help needed - warning, rant ahead!
I hope I'm posting in the right section - we are having major issues with our neighbour at the moment and don't seem to be getting anywhere. I wondered if anyone had any advice/suggestions. Basically, our garden backs onto another garden and the current owner has three huge dogs (I'm useless at breeds, they are the size of…

My furniture was delivered within the time specified and…

HMV Prices
I was in HMV today looking for some CD's and dvd's. They seem to be very expensive compared to other places. Is it because Zavvi and the others have closed down. I saw a dvd in t there for £20 but it's about 6 years old and you can get it for less than £5 on-line. The cd's I wanted were £15 each but are less than £10 in…

TV Adverts - More often these days
Have you noticed that on ITV & C4 a program will start then just 10 minutes in the adverts start, and this is not just the 'live' programmes. Didn't adverts used to be approx. every 15 minutes. Now it will even go to a break at 50 minutes past the hour for 3-4 minutes and then before you know the program ends. I dread to…

I'm Fuming - Comet sells "Extended Warranty" to disabled 90-some y.o.
I just spoke with an old friend, a disabled 90-some year old lady living on benefits, and I learnt that last month she went to Comet to buy a small television and they told her (or so she understood) she had to have an extended 5 years warranty for an additional 75 pounds. Besides the fact that she could hardly afford to…

Royal Mail - missing parcel
Just to say first of all, I will be phoning Royal Mail tomorrow regarding this, but just wondered if anyone had this happen before and what the outcome was. I got home from work on Friday to a 'Sorry, you were out' card from Royal Mail and another card from another company to advise I had missed a delivery. I knew I had…

New Argos Store Huntingdon.
Credit where credits due.:D I took a gaming chair into the new Argos just outside Huntingdon today that I purchased in November last year from another store for my youngest's Christmas present. It had developed a fault with the sound jack. I got a straight exchange for a new one, no quibbles and a smile! Brilliant, well…

Optometrist? What's wrong with optician?
Just a minor vent really but it does annoy me. When did we start calling them optometrists rather than opticians? We used to differentiate between opthalmic opticians and the dispensing ones but is this not the case any more? Actually it's not much of a vent it it? More like a couple of questions I'd like the answers to :)

Taking advantage of an old man - Bad Building society.
This is something that has been eating away at me for a few years now - I just need to share it. About 6 years ago my (then) 80 year old father began to show signs of dementia - among his early flights of fancy was a recurring subject that used to get him extremely upset, it involved him saying that he was being bullied…

Fake Call from the 'Telephone Preference Service.'
In December I reactivated a phone line that had been disconnected for over three years, and shortly afterwards started getting those annoying pre-recorded debt (mis)management and injury lawyers calls. So I registered with the TPS in January. In February I was just heading out for an appointment when a bloke rang…
