Praise for Tunetribe
After venting my annoyance at poor service, Tunetribe have more than redeemed themselves. Whilst a delay in up to 72 hours to respond to problems is poor, the response when it comes is excellent. The price and usability of the MP3 files (take note itunes) more than makes up for it.

Praise for Pataks
Last week I contacted Pataks to complain about the plastic taste in their mango chutney from a ready to eat pappadums kit. They emailed the next day to reply and say they would reimburse me. Yesterday I received a £5 goodwill cheque. The kit only cost me about £1.50!! Fantastic customer services. Why can't they all be like…

Just to warn people, Sky are making calls today. I have never ever been a customer of Sky. I just had a call - the caller knew my name and asked if my Sky box was working properly. I asked where he was calling from and if I could call him back. He said that I couldn't call him back and he ignored my first question. He…

SKY Television and how complaining is a waste of time
Recently had the requirement to have a Sky technician attend my house to resolve a couple of issues. After being shouted at and verbally abused, I ordered the technician from my house. I immediately called Sky to report the incident and had to continue to call back to see at what stage my complaint had reached. The whole…

Restaurants and tipping
I've a bone to pick with restaurants near where I live in London. The majority seem happy to apply a 12.5% service charge, and even a charitable donation of £2, on top of a restaurant bill. At the weekend this happened, and I paid in cash - the amount for the meal, plus 10%, which was generous given the lukewarm service.…

Virgin Media help please

Can I get away with not using a stamp?
It really gets on my nerves how companies don't provide pre-paid envelopes when they ask for replies. How likely is that a letter I put in the post to a company (say National Savings & Investments) gets delivered if I don't use a stamp? I'm more than happy if the recipient gets charged! And if not, what will happen to the…
