In praise of Student Computers.Co.Uk

I decided after 6 years of using my Dell Dimension to treat myself to a good laptop. I bought a Compaq Presario CQ71-235sa, Intel® Pentium® Dual Core T4200 Processor, 17.3" HD Screen, Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, DVD Rewriter, Integrated Graphics, for £430.

I paid £9.95 for next day delivery before noon. At 1.30pm it hadn't arrived so I phoned to see the state of play. I spoke to a human within seconds who said he'd look into it and call back. The call came after 10 mins and he apologised and told me it would be about 6.30 and he'd refund the delivery charge.

It arrived at time stated and it's a good piece of kit. I'm well pleased and can't praise the level of customer service enough.

I think that's unusual in today's customer service climate.
