OMG Homebase turned it around!
So after seeing a really cheap garden bench on Tesco Direct, then having no response from them despite several attempts to contact them by phone and email, we decided that they didn't deserve our money. So we had a look in Homebase instead (I know, after my nightmares with Argos in the past I should have known better but…

2 for 1s- load of rubbish.
It just shows you that this 2 for 1 on for specs is just resulting in you ending up with rubbish specs. I have not had this set of glasses for even a year and today the screw and the lens falls out. It will have to be my second pair of blue unisex ones from now on. No wonder they run 2 for 1 as when they sell is rubbish.

UKIncentives & Promotions; scam or not?
Anyone heard of UKIncentives & promotions? Sounds like someone I did a few online surveys for, and now they tell me I've won a prize worth at least £2500. Trouble is, it'll cost me £20 to get it. Strange that they can give away £2500 but not that last twenty. Everything shouts "scam" but because the online surveys seem…

Bed Depot/Sleep Depot
This shop has a great clause hidden in their terms and conditions regarding delivery which says that delivery is deemed to have been made when the goods are off-loaded from the van at the delivery address. This isn't highlighted in the store when you pay the £25 delivery charge, the result being that when the sofa bed I…

Council cutbacks
Just phoned my council to ask for more bags to put my compostable waste in and they said I should go to the council offices and pick them up myself!!! What do we pay inflated council tax for? When I asked why they were no longer delivering them to households, she said cutbacks. So I asked why the guys that collect the…

Pc World Suck!!!!
Went to PC World this morning to purchase a Toshiba L30-101 Laptop which came with a free 512MB memory upgrade. Apart from getting terrible service from above all a manager, when we were about to pay for it, the assistant suddenly said that the guarantee is void once we put the memory upgrade into the laptop, despite them…

World Books
Hi. Has anyone else had trouble with World Books. We have continually tried to return books and cancel our account and it is a vicious circle. You can't cancel the account until you have settled the bill and so they keep sending books and when we ask for them to pick up the books it is not happening. Now it has been…

I hope this is the right place to post this query! I came across a "bargain" on the Woolies site last night - a Cuisinart toaster for £4.99. This seemed too good to miss so I ordered one smartly ;) My card was promptly debited and a confirmation sent to me. This morning my account showed a scheduled delivery date and a…
