Zumerzet Police
My son had gone off the rails and fallen in with a bad crowd since passing his driving test and getting a car, then reaching the mature old age of 18. First car written off after being on the road twelve days. Choice of prosecution or a driving skills course, he took the latter. Second car crashed shortly after getting…

tchibo home shopping - the first post is always long isn't it!
I love tchibo products, I really do. I used to work for the UK coffee side of the company and loved going down to head office and visiting a shop to pick up some really ace stuff. I was even happier when my local JS started stocking their stuff and I would cheerfully trot along every wednesday to see what goodies were in…

Morrisons - misleading shelf price
I am only posting this as a matter of principle as the overcharge was only 50p, but I was very annoyed at the attitude of the assistant I advised. Last week I saw an offer in Morrisons houseware section "Pyrex bowl with lid, half price £1.49" so I took one, but it went through the checkout at £1.99. As I was there again…

Car Style First are stars !
After getting two puppies and working out I needed to get a car roof box for our luggage I researched the lowest price for one. The one I chose was from Car Style First and had available a locking kit to stop thieves simply detatching the roof bars with box. On the order form I asked whether this worked with the set I had…

Nationwide Autocentre
It's nice to be able to say something good about one of these national garage chains for a change. On Wednesday I was getting petrol before taking the kids on a day trip and was told that one of my brake lights was out, I drove up the road and stopped at the first garage I came to which was a Nationwide Autocentre. The…

Lx Direct
I placed my first order with LX Direct a couple of weeks ago. I wanted a fridge/freezer that was £399.99 and on the internet I found a site that had discount codes and there was one for 15% off your first order. I phoned up and placed my order and gave the code and the operator said she would apply it. I have just received…

Morphy Richards
I ordered an iron over 2 weeks ago. It never turned up. After about 4 emails I was finally told that if it didn't arrive by Monday they will send me out a new replacement ASAP. I replied when it did not, and go no reply. So I called today and was told that they had delivered it to a door number 110 below that of mine…

Three cheers for Roberts Radio!
One of the speakers packed in on my Roberts DAB radio last week. I now live 250 miles from the place where I bought it, so I got in touch with Roberts direct who gave me their address to send it to. I posted it to them on Friday last week, so they'd receive it on Monday. It arrived back here on Wednesday morning, fixed,…

Dixons (online)
Why can't Dixons keep their website up-to-date or is it a deliberate ploy to keep you looking at the site???! On the 24 July they had a particular TV in stock, I ordered it only to be informed 3 days later that it was out of stock, so why oh why would the site let me reorder it (and showing it to be still in stock?????) I…

Comet
Hi All I bought a £400 JVC Camcorder from Comet yesterday evening. After having try out last night, I realised that the quality of the recording and playback was terrible, so I boxed it straight back up. I went back to Comet with the unit for a refund today, as was told they wouldn't do it, as I had opened it. They even…

AIM /jsquad virus
This might be better on the techie board, but any AOL users should beware of an instant message that appears to come from one of your contacts and says to look at ht-tp://jsquad/radio/ . The 'Quick Time Player' download is a virus.
