Hi
I want some advice please. Yesterday I bought a new pair of sunglasses from Debs for £12.
I wore them home in the car and then went out to meet my mates. I had the glasses onmy head whilst sat down outside and they fell off my head and broke.
Now I know that sunglasses are not designed to be thrown on the floor but on the other hand they whould be a bit more hard wearing than that. I had wore them for 1hr.
The Q is should I take them back get refund or accept tha s**t happens and throw them in the bin.

they are not designed to be placed on top of your head either - just on the bridge of your nose!
just put it down to bad luck - normal glasses are probably not designed to be strong enough to withstand falling off head to ground
luckily they were 12 pounds and not obscenely expensive designer onesBaby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.0 -

If you want to be cheeky, bring the shades back to Debs and say they shattered while you were sunbathing, provided it was the lense that broke. Tell them the glasses aren't fit for their purpose as they shattered in 35C heat and that you could have been blinded had your eyes not been shut!
Or you could save yourself from being sent to hell and just throw them in the bin :A!

Personally I'd expect sunglasses or even prescription glasses to survive that sort of fall, they should be durable enough for everyday use and that includes them being dropped.0

Not sure I agree. 'everyday' wear for glasses is surely to be worn or to be stored in a case...I can't see an argument that would include everyday wear meaning glasses should be capable of being dropped.
I had prescription sunglasses, cost me over £100 and I knocked them off my table while I was sunbathing and scratched the lens. All I could do that time was to pay to have the scratched lens replaced, another £30!
