Faulty TV only 2 years old.
Don't know if I'm doing this right as this is my first non-lurking visit! I bought a widescreen TV from Comet just over two years ago and it has recently developed a fault where I can't see the outside edges of the picture and the virtical lies bow. Although it's outside the one year guarantee and the fault is new I…

Lost my Name
Once upon a time I was known as "not-so-civil". I lost my name and 1/3 of my posts. Why "Vent"? I e-mailed the Forum Tech almost a week ago, but no recognition nor no change. Do I re-register?? I am aware this has happened to many members but I note that some have now been "REPAIRED". NOT ME!!

MULLER RICE ... ( snack ) .... YUK !!
While I like a lot of Mullers products I must say the NEW muller rice snack has got to be one of the DISGUSTING things I have ever tasted . It is so bland and gooey I am thinking of using the rest as wallpaper paste And while I did get as a TRY ME FREE... its just as well because I certainly would have complained about…

GreasyPalm and ipoints - what's the point...
in using them when a) half the things you buy through them don't result in the cashback being added (unless you can be bothered to keep a record of everything and continually chase them) and b) they don't bother to send the cashback or respond to email. I've had £100+ in my GP a/c for ages but still only received one…

Jeweller swapped my ring!
18 months ago, my mum bought me an opal and iolite ring for my birthday - I saw it in the shop window (little independant jeweller) and fell in love with it. It had the most beautiful opal I have ever seen, full of fire (pink, yellow, green, blue flashes in it) I also loved the iolites as purple is my fave colour. I didn't…

complete card details on printed receipts
We had work done on our car recently by Watling Tyres and I noticed our receipt had the complete card number/card type/expiry date and card holders name printed on it. If you have anything done by them and pay by card, take a marker pen with you so you can immediately score out the card details. I have emailed them about it…

My postman
He came early this morning and posted letters. He came back at 10am to deliver a small parcel. He said he thought it was a bit early to knock on the door when he first came at about 7am, so he returned at a decent hour. How great is that :D

Royal Mail: International Signed For
Having used this service myself I find it odd that although it's called International Signed For, once your item of post has left the UK that's it - you get no signature, if it gets lost tough, the RM have no way of tracing it. Surely this breaches some sort of description act and can be reported to Trading…

MGM DVD replacement - is this a scam?
Someone on another message board I subscribe to posted this messageFound this interesting article to DVD owners "Apparently all of MGM's 'theatrical wide screen' DVD releases for the last few years have been the pan-scanned versions with the top and bottoms cut off. The list (PDF) of butchered movies includes almost every…

Plasma / LCD TV - be careful
I guess that 42" flat screen TVs (or even slightly smaller models) are the latest must-have, cool feature for many folks' living rooms these days. Be careful, though. The product descriptions can be so misleading. For example, Panasonic 42'' Plasma Television, Model No:TH42PE30B has a Market Price of £3,699.99 and a Sale…

Debit card charges
Ikea recently introduced a 70p charge when credit cards are used for purchases. however, they also charge 70p when paying for delivery if you use a debit card. They are the only company I know off who add this fee. They also charge £40 for delivery on a cooker hood which cost £110. There is no way of avoiding this extra…

Sky..... totally ridiculous !!!
After years putting up with NTL`s poor service decided to change to Sky. Ordered Sky+ a friend stayed in for the day, on our return they had installed Sky+ Multiroom (second box). Rang Sky who suggested we `must have` ordered multiroom because it says so on their computer. When I explained that if we had ordered Multiroom…

Ebuyer Nightmare
I have bought lots of stuff from Ebuyer in the past and have never had a problem. However, the funs seems to start when you have to return something and enter into dialogue with them...as i've recently found. I've been trying to return a router to them for a refund throughout January and i'm still waiting for an RMA…

P C W O R L D
