This is nigh on 6 years old but its taken me that long to find this place........
Approx 5/6 years ago I went into PCW to buy an Imac. Paid £999, asked the guy when the new model was coming out and was told not for ages(It came out approx 4 months later). Anyhow 3 days later I was reading "The Sun" (It wasn't mine) and to my amazement seen an advertisement from PCW for the said Imac for £899 plus a free olympus c-100 digi camera.
I telephoned the store immediately and spoke to the salesman, who rather bluntly and wrongly told me where to go. Several calls later to HO and to the store and I had a call from the salesman apologising and asked me when I could come to the store as he would refinance the deal and give me the camera.
A date and time was set.
On arriving he was serving another client, i waited, approx 15 minutes. Several times he had clocked me standing there but on finishing with his customer he began to walk away. I caught up with him and guess what the little s*@t said???????
"Oh its you, I'm going on my lunch hour, take a look around and I'll see you in an hour"
I nearly swung for him.
And he did, he walked off, disappeared, went to lunch.
I waited another ten minutes to actually get the attention of the manager who then swiftly ejected the salesperson from where ever he was hiding and made him complete the transaction. The lazy toe rag even tgried to palm me off with an extra£100 in goods as it would save filling in another form and cancelling a credit agreement. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!
I never got a single apology and on later writing to the manager to officially complain i received a reply stating that he had sorted the problem on site (true, but not very satisfactory).
I hate PCW, the mere thought of the place upsets my blood pressure. I vowed never to return, only to be recently forced another visit when my insurer demanded that I had to get an item replaced there, but thats another story...
AVOID THE PLACE.

I went to PC World to buy something for the first time a few months ago. Luckily the person I spoke to knew what he was on about and was very helpful - must say I was impressed as I had heard similar stories to your own.
Hopefully there has been a change for the better...0 -
Aaaarrrggghhhhh
I ordered a canon all in one printer from these morons over 3 weeks ago online, the order was confirmed and money debited from my card. I have heard nothing since and was expecting delivery some time ago, however this is the email i have just received from them:
Thank you for your order. Unfortunately due to a discrepancy on our suppliers
stock file, we do not have any more stock of Canon All In One Printer, Scanner & Copier(057182). Although your order would have shown in stock at the time that you placed it, it is now no longer available, due to a stock recall as these printers were faulty.
We can however offer you an alternative model which is the HP PSC1355 All In One Printer(135198). This currently retails at £99.99.
Please accept this e-mail as confirmation that your order has now been cancelled.
Surely its not hard to pick up the phone and let me know sooner, I've been left without a printer now for weeks and will have to try and find one asap, it seems strange that they offer the product on line for a reduced price then tell you its out of stock and offer you an alternative that costs more. and I bet theyre not half as quick at refunding my card as they were at debiting it,Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission
Love doesn't make the world go round, it's what makes the ride worthwhile
ya still freezing
