!!!!! spayed today
My 2 year old English Bull Terrier has gone in to be spayed today. I'm worried naturally, although i'm sure she will be fine. I know the vet will give me aftercare advice for her, but i wonder if i coud pick the brains of those of you who have had their girls done, as i've only ever had males neutered. I'm likely to forget…

Hi all. I need some cat-related advice! Bear with me, this is really really long ... Me and OH moved house about a year ago. Ever since we moved in we've been aware of a little tabby cat visiting our garden (I assume it's part of his "territory"). He tended to sniff around for a bit then sleep for a few hours on the patio,…

Frontline or Fiprospot
Hi All, I have used Frontline on my cat(s) (now only have one) ever since I've had them (about 8yrs). It's always been expensive but I've always stuck with it as it has seemed to work. I was just about to place an order for some more Frontline when I saw the site I was using advertising Fiprospot - saying it's the same as…

Need help
Molly (our 10 yr old staff) is just not accepting Aplhy (our 8 week old puppy). Advice we heard was to let them play, let Molly have a go at Aplhy if needed. (when he got to much) BUT Hubby was in garden dealing with the pond, I was at work, Aplhy was playing around the swing one side of the garden, and Molly was the other…

Vets and prescriptions
Morning all, lay, and lay this morning (as soon as I move, cats & dog get up) and thought it must be latish only to discover it was 5:10! Typical on a Saturday too! Nevermind, cats out on the prowl and dog itching for his breakfast (far too early for that!). Anyway, question about vets writing prescriptions. I have no…

Self-cleaning fish?
I work in a small home for adults with learning disabilities and one of the guys has expressed an interest in having a fish tank. However the chances of him helping to clean and look after it regularly is fairly remote and (on the grounds of taking personal responsibility!) I refuse to ask the staff to do all the hard work…

How long after a spay before my dog can play rough with other dogs?
My dog was spayed on Saturday. I took her to the vets for POC and I asked when she could start playing with the other dog again. Vet said that I must remember that it is just like a hysterectomy in humans and we cannot even lift a kettle for 6 weeks. She also said that at 6 weeks only 21% of the uterine wal was healed and…
