Pet insurance

What comparison sites do people use to find the best deal for pet insurance? Theres quite a few out their lol

    There was an article put together by MSE a couple of weeks ago: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/cut-pet-insurance-costs
    loads of useful tips in there - "dos" and "donts" etc.

    Be very careful about the small print and I'd certainly recommend a "for life" policy rather than one limited to 12 months - slightly more expensive but absolutely worth it if your pet ends up having an ongoing condition.

    As for me - I tend to search around as well as using the "usual suspects" like moneysupermarket, go compare etc as companies such as Direct Line don't appear in these so need a separate search.

    At all costs avoid E&L - even though they'll probably come in cheaper than the others - some people have had a nightmare with them not paying out.

    Welcome! :) It's very difficult to use a comparison site for pet insurance as you are not comparing like-with-like. As RFTA says, please do not touch E&L with a bargepole, they don't pay out. You should be looking for a 'for life' policy where the pot of money renews each and every year - AXA, PetPlan, Argos' highest level of cover and possibly one or two more. You cannot change insurer every year as any condition already seen the vet for will be excluded.
