Hi All,

I have used Frontline on my cat(s) (now only have one) ever since I've had them (about 8yrs). It's always been expensive but I've always stuck with it as it has seemed to work.

I was just about to place an order for some more Frontline when I saw the site I was using advertising Fiprospot - saying it's the same as Frontline but cheaper.

I was just wondering whether anyone has had any experience of it before buy?

I used it on my 6 cats and a dog - it is fine, the same ingirdients as Frontline, none of my lot has fleas so I guess it works.

Recently ordered Frontline again as my daughter was buying the flea treatment for the lot and she decided on Frontline...

Ops, sorry it was not fip[rospot - it was something else, similar name, forgot what this was now, sorry.

In any case, at AnimedDirect 6 pipettes of Fiprospot are only about a £1 cheaper than 6 pipettes of Frontline... The thing that I bought was cheaper than that.

Oh..., it was Effipro that I used, £9.35 for 4 pipettes (animed does not sell packs of 6, I got 6 cats...LOL)

Thanks gettingready, I have ordered 6 treatments of Fiprospot this evening from petmeds.co.uk

Looking at the prices on animeddirect petmeds.co.uk seem a little cheaper (free p&p for new customers) so you might want a look next time you need to place an order (just a MSE thought :D) Fiprospot was about £10 for 6, and Frontline was £17 so quite a saving (well assuming it works!)

I did check out the company that makes Fipro and they also make the Staykill house spray which we had to use once when we had an infestation due to our previous cat only wearing a totally useless flea collar.

  • Not convinced by Frontline's claims to prevent ticks...just took one off dog and her frontline is up to date.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Always used frontline on my dog and 3 cats and have always been happy, then 2 weeks ago changed and bought fiprospot money being tight and no longer having my dog. My cats have all still got fleas and I have the dilemma of not knowing how long now before I can apply frontline to get rid of them without causing my cats any harm.

Yeah I don't think it is great against ticks despite being licensed for them. The spray, sprayed directly onto the tick, works better!
