Stopping ants from coming in, without killing them?
Hi, we had a few ants coming into the utility room through a tiny gap in the skirting board... I filled it, but they’re just getting in through the kitchen now - there were lots this morning going for the cats food :/ I’ve sprayed lots of vinegar about (outside along the side of the house, and under the kitchen cabinets)…

Fish smell in dishwasher and washing machine (both have separate drains)
Our dishwasher stinks and has done for a while (18 months). We regularly clean it and the filter etc. It feeds into the sink drain but it's worth noting the sink rarely smells. It smells like dirty pond water /fishy. Recently it now makes the kitchen smell if we leave it open to air it. It's worth noting that this isn't…

Has anyone else notice a taste difference between long life milk being sold in the different supermarkets? I've tried both Asda and Sainsburys brands and they both taste different.

Frozen Chicken?!
I stupidly had to defrost 2.5kg of chicken yesterday as it had all frozen together in the freezer because I didn’t separate it. Made a pie with some of it, cooked some of it in slow cooker then left the rest of it to slowly defrost in fridge. My question is with the pie, and slow cooked chicken am I ok to reheat it again…

Listening ipod through external speakers
Hi all. I'm a bit of a luddite where tech is concerned so I seek help with this. I have an ipod nano that sits on a docking station to listen to music. I also listen through earphones, but only myself can hear. The docking station I have was dropped from a work surface and broke. I was looking for another docking station…

Wedding cake

It was traditional whiskey (or brandy?) fed fruit cake. we are not going to use it for that. No kids together. I don’t even know…

Supermarket differences in best before date for Long life milk
The long life milk currently being sold in Sainsbury's has a best before date of February 2021 whilst Aldi milk has a date of October 2020. Does that mean the Aldi milk has already been stored in a warehouse for months before going on the shop shelves. Or is long life milk processed to different standards for different…
