How long will defrosted curry last in the fridge?
Hi all, I'm defrosting a homemade chicken curry overnight to eat tomorrow evening, but it's too large an amount for the two of us (originally made for 4). Would a proportion of it last for 3 or 4 days in the fridge to make another meal do you think? Many thanks for any advice. Mimi x

Say bye to clutter, say hello to extra cash
Hello all, I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I over the years have collected what must be hundreds of DVDs and CDs. I have recently downsized my living situation and in the age of streaming I have decided to sell my collection apart from some sentimental TV box sets. I have used Music Magpie in the…

airbnb
Has anyone used airbnb? I have joined the site, but when I try to message the host, they ask for my photo. I am not happy to do this as no-one provides a photo for hotels. I am trying to find reasonable accommodation for 4 adults, my husband, myself, and my grown up twins. As one of my sons has learning problems and is NOT…

Stardrops - where has it vanished to..?
My local Tesco no longer sells it. My local Wilkinson no longer sells it. This is the best general cleaner for stain removal bar none... but there seems to be some conspiracy afoot to prevent Joe Public from getting hold of it. Anybody happen to know if it's still available in the High Street?

Cakes using oil instead of butter??
Hi, I've been googling for a recipe for a chocolate fudge cake and I keep getting recipes that use sunflower oil instead of butter. The thought of using oil seems really grim, I've always used butter as in the past I tried stork and ended up with a horrible greasy cake. Has anyone tried using sunflower oil? Is it as grim…

Self-sufficiency: giving it a go
We are living in uncertain times  and I'm thinking that to protect my family we should aim to be as self-sufficient as possible. I'm not sure how far we will get. We live in a 1950's semi on the edge of a market town with a decent size garden and we also have an allotment. I'm thinking that we should aim to be totally…
