Last weeks thread.

Do not lose heart if you cannot keep up with everyone else or reading the thread, don't try to reply to everyone and please remember to include something about flying in all your posts.

Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer![/U]
WM ~ Washing machine
TD ~ Tumble dryer
SC ~ Slowcooker
BM ~ Breadmaker
DW ~ Dishwasher
SOAADFA ~ Sit on 'bottom' and do 'nothing'
KH/XH/FW ~ Ex-husband and other not so polite versions
DH/DD/DS/DW/DP ~ Dear husband/daughter/son/wife/partner/whatever
OH/SO ~ Other half/significant other
NN ~ nice neighbour
Toxic (friend/mother/sister/whoever) ~ person in your life that seems to exist to make your life miserable
AF ~ Aunt Flo 'time of the month'.. nothing to do with flying but it comes up often.
ETA ~ Editted to add
gibble ~ miscellaneous crap that appears forever homeless
Dot-to-dot ~ pick a small area (not a whole room) like a chair/coffee/table/shelf/worktop or wherever- thats your first 'dot' - totally clear it - clean it - and only put back what should be there - deal with what you have removed (not just move it somewhere else) then if you have time move on and do the same to another 'dot' -the idea is just like a dot to dot puzzle, you aim to join up all the dots and have a tidy room. The trick is to keep each dot tidy until you get them all joined up!
RoD ~ Room of Doom, the one room that feels like it is a permanent pit and cannot be used to its potential!
Mr S/A/T/M/L/Al - supermarkets Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi. You get the picture!!

Thank you pigpen for the new thread.

(((Hugs))) and spoons to atb, peace to your grandad and GWS to your DS.

More spoons to CY. You will have a lovely day wherever you sit.

Gift card finding vibes to Valli.

My foot has been really painful today so I'm back on tablets that make me drowsy.

DH has a dentist's appointment at 08.30 - it would not have been a problem if he had been able to drive there...

    Good Morning all,

Thank you for the thread :) x

Rubbish nights sleep had plagued with sneezing and disturbing dreams about various things. Most unlike me but, again, hardly surprising. DD has her transition week at Reception this week so I need to get her there for 9am. Then organise the date for DS operation :(. After lunch we will be visiting grandad.

I will ensure the dailies are done, I want to come back to a neater house later on. CY some people can be ridiculous! You will have a lovely day as will your lovely DD and that is all that matters xx

Dizzy - hope today is a better one and that he grovelled something silly yesterday.
Iona - oh no I really hope your foot feels better today xx
Piggers - hope you got some sleep xx

Have lovely days, thank you for the Flylady vibes they really do help xx

Morning all. I ache all over. I don't like gardening...

CY - having organised my second wedding myself, I understand the stresses and pitfalls, family issues and disputes that make seating arrangements an art of strategy and cunning. Not sure why the groom's family have the hump, but the day will be just as wonderful without them. Enjoy it sweet pea.

Iona - foot healing vibes winging over. Can your DH get a taxi to the dentist, if driving is out?

ATB - hugs to you. You're doing brilliantly, just hang in there. Hope your DD enjoys her transition week. Small is moving up to Year 1 in September, so I think the school are organising something similar for his year group...all 12 of them...:rotfl:

Anyways, I'm in - Tiny at nursery this morning. Washing has been breeding over the weekend, so will be attacking that and pleased to report that DH has grovelled sufficiently to be fed this morning, so all peace and calm in Dizzyland...

    Morning all.

Hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes to all.

Paid stuff today for me. Delivery is due any time and I've not caught up with the stuff I should have done last week yet :( The only other thing I'm doing is laundry and dailies. I've got a busy week ahead of me so I'll probably mostly lurk until Thursday. I have a paper list I'm adding to and crossing off as I go along so I stop forgetting stuff.

I best get moving so I can finish my breakfast. See you later

Morning all. Hugs where needed. Seems like some will need lots of spoons to get through this week.

Thanks for the list Piggers. I'm not in today as already at the paid stuff, but the pc is running slow again.

    Have a great day everyone.

Any one bought a mattress recently when making the bed, mine has def seen better days, any recommendations as to where to look, online.
It got me thinking the current mattress must be at least 12 years old :o and has err well,....... been well used :rotfl::rotfl: by the cats over the years! I am sure I read somewhere you should replace every 7 years or so, so I have had my money out of it so to speak, very :money:
