does mashed banana keep?
Bit of a dim question (am not an expert on bananas as have never really liked them!) but I am trying to get my baby daughter to eat more fruit and she seemed to like the mashed banana I gave her the other day - if I give her some again and she doesn't finish it does it keep ok in the fridge?

tray bakes. Line tins?
I never used to line my tins but several new recipes ( namely flapjack and cereal seed type bars ) tell you to line them. When I do this, I leave the baking to cool completely then mark it and score all round the edge of the tin, turn it upside down and find the top layer comes out but leaves the bottom half of the baking…

Alternatives to dry cleaning.
Hi, I would normally post on the green and ethical board but I figure I'd get a greater response here. I have to pairs of curtains that were given to me and are dry clean only They are M&S curtains and made from 83% cotton / 17% nylon. The lining, not detatchable, is 50% cotton / 50% polyester. The cost of dry cleaning I…

Juno's adventures with knitting needles
I want to make a scarf. I'm not quite sure that this can be classed as "money saving", since so far I've spent more than any scarf would cost, but it's fun. I have a pair of 5mm knitting needles. I have 3 balls of black and white wool. I have a lot of spare time. I have no idea what I'm doing. Does anyone have a beginner's…
