OS meals for pregnancy
There seem to be so many dos and don't for eating when pregnant, plus the nausea putting me off food and worrying about giving my baby all the nutrients, I'm scared my food bill will rocket. Does anyone have any good recipes or meal ideas they ate when pregnant? I'm a meat eater so all ideas welcome :)

11kg of veg per week
I have just worked out that a family of 4 eating the minimum 5 portions of fruit and veg a day would eat over 11 kg a week. This is probably not in the right section, but I was stunned when I worked it out and thought no wonder sticking to a feed your family for £30 I would find virtually impossible. On basics of apples,…

Where to buy cheap fabric for sewing / fabric remnants?
In Liverpool and the North West there are fabric shops called Abakhan where you can buy pieces of fabric by weight and cheap fabric on the roll. Does anybody know a shop like this in London or the South East? Especially somewhere that has fabric pieces by weight. Thanks Moneysavers.

Silicon coated paper vs greaseproof paper
I have been finding it difficult lately to get hold of good old-fashioned greaseproof paper. The supermarkets all seem to be full of this new silicon coated baking paper that is twice the price for a fraction of the length. Does anyone have any experience with this ? Does it have benefits that are worth the extra cost ? I…

Help, what to feed a 3 year old with mouth ulcers
My 3 year old complained that his tongue hurt and wouldn't eat, two days later it is covered in ulcers. He has not eaten much for the last couple of days and I'm running out of ideas…

Separating Sauce
A little while ago I bought a ready meal from Waitrose (Don't shout at me it was £2 reduced from £7.99  ) It was belly pork slow roasted in cream and calvados and it was yum. But as £7.99 is out of the question I thought I would have a go at making it and it has been bubbling away all night in the slow cooker. It…

Hi all, This kind of stuff has prob been around before but thought I'd put it in just in case. I picked lots of herbs from my pots today and put them in a vase in the living room. It smells lovely and looks pretty as a few of them are flowering at the mo. Saves on flowers and air freshener.
