Empty fridge

I've got an empty unplugged fridge in my garage, cleaned it out the other day (had mould) and left it open for a few days to dry, how do I stop mould from coming back? Is it best to leave it open?

wedge it open with a tea towel on top of the door and put a small cup/plastic bowl full of bicarbonate of soda in it to absorb odours and damp. eventually when it is completely dry you can shut the door, i'd still leave in bicarb. though.

    Hi there
Throw a couple of teabags in...if it does get shut up it shouldnt mould..the teabags will absorb any moisture and smell.
My fridges and freezer spent 2 weeks in transit on their way to Germany so they had to be shut, but they were fine...going to be doing it again soon as we are back of to germany for 3 years
