Soup - Can I use a hand blender?
Hi, Novice to old style, however am enjoying trying new things. I am thinking of making some soup in the week but do not have a processer - would a handblender do? If I was looking for a processer any tips on an efficient cheapish model - doesn't have to be an all singing/dancing one! Thanks

Ironing Day Blues!!
How does everyone stay on top of their ironing? It is the one major thing that lets me down. I'm very good at staying on top of the washing and drying, then fold it and shove it in the airing cupboard - then you have to search for something - it all falls out arggh! So you shove it back in and then it's not folded :o I…

Can anyone suggest a way of dealing with a lingering smell. I have a wooden bread bin. A couple of weeks ago i forgot about some bagels in a plastic bag, and they were very mouldy when we found them. Dented tinned food?
Is it ok to buy/use tinned food with dents in them? I always make a point to make sure nothing I buy in cans has a dent. I remember when I was young being sent to the shop and told 'to make sure there's no dents in the tins'. So I've continued to do this now for my own shopping. Today in Sainsburys I bought 4 tins of…

Bulking out Meals?
I was wondering what everyone 'adds' to a meal to make it go further? My OH is an old fashioned guy, he likes plain food & likes meat as part of his main meal. With the Sunday Roast I serve stuffing balls & yorkshire pudding along with a selection of veg to make the meal go further. When I use mince I add a handfull of…

Food drying - Dehydrators (merged)
I am not sure if this is something which would interest you OS people, but at https://www.tchibo.co.uk they are selling a food drier for £24.99.
