Flavour and quality or cost?
Having discovered a new local farm shop very near to me I have not bought any meat elsewhere since it opened. The meat is all free range with no additives. The butcher in the shop will cut you exactly the piece you want. The taste is absolutely wonderful. The cost however, is more than I would pay for the same size chicken…

cheap brown vinegar works for...?
I have read in lots of threads that people are afraid of using brown vinegar for the conditioning rinse in their washer - especially for white things. I've just heard on the radio about a chef who is cooking the latest in posh nosh, squirrel. I missed the first bit of the conversation but managed to hear this bit. How old is too old for tinned pulses?
I've had a bit of a search and can't find anything on here on this...or anything specific online. How safe is it to use tinned pulses well after the use-by date? Things we 'think' we can't manage without
I have always said I can't manage without my tumble drier but it has been out of action now for two weeks..........and I HAVE managed and find myself missing it less.
