The Friday Afternoon Rush
Good Morning All, I was wondering do things tend to go particularly wrong in and around Belfast on a Friday afternoon/evening? There always seems to be accidents and huge delays as a result. Two weeks ago I got caught in such a delay due to an accident and I was queued back by two miles for almost an hour. I couldn't…

Maintaining Anonymity
Hi I live in a neighbourhood with a long-standing problem with a barking dog noise nuisance. Myself and my neighbours are reluctant to pursue a noise abatement complaint with the local Council because the Dog Owner is a thug with (how should I put this) alleged links to certain organisations. The way the Enforcement…

Dog Owners
Do you have a dog licence? Is this something which is enforced or chased, or is a blind eye turned? Its only £12.50 a year, but no-one wants to be the mug paying it when everyone else isn't.

Dog breeders NI
Hi, Does anyone know of any dog breeders in NI? I am after a JRT or a Brussells Griffon (smooth) for mid December. I am very wary of buying of gumtree etc. Does anyone know where I could go - have tried the kennel clubs but can't see much on there. I am after a healthy happy pup and am an experienced dog owner Thanks

Anyone going to Van's 'Freedom of the City' concert on Friday night? I picked my tickets up today and they are marked 'Standing Area'. Now while I'm grateful to get a free ticket for Van's concert I'm a bit taken aback to find out that I'll have to stand especially as my OH is in a bit of pain at the moment thanks to her…

PVC Windows..
Can anyone recommend someone reputable in the Coleraine area who will repair plastic windows. The hinge is broken on my bedroom window and there is a large gap which is letting in cold air. I think it should be relaively easy to fix and don't want to pay large contractor prices so just wondering if anyone knows of anyone…

Sinn Fein lord mayor at Belfast Armistice Day ceremony
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-24898648 I think this was a marvelous gesture by M!irtin Ó Muilleoir. I've noticed him on several occasions now making attempts like this to recognise unionist culture and I honestly think he's showing the rest of us the way forward. I don't agree with his politics, I don't…

Buying out ground rent
Hi folks, Anyone here bought out their ground rent? I was thinking about it but there is a £50 fee, a form needs to be witnessed by a solicitor and you need to pay a certain amount of years of ground rent to redeem it: http://www.dfpni.gov.uk/lps/notes_-_redemption_of_ground_rent_-_notes_for_applicant.doc Interestingly…

Do you want an ex-Motability car?
One of my neighbours recently lamented that he can't get his hands on a good quality ex-Motability car because they go back to main dealers before being sold at auction. I've got a Motability car as a result of my War Pension so I phoned Motability up to see what the crack was. It seems that: if someone is returning a…

Advice needed on cleaning solid fuel back boiler.
We have a Baxi Burnall fire and it's fantastic. Our chimney sweep advised me to cut a length of garden hose to knock the soot down between the panels of the high output back boiler and that has helped me maintain even better heat for the radiators from it (It's a dual system, coal and oil). I've noticed recently however…
