Anywhere I can get a replacement heater element for a whirlpool washing machine? Banbridge or Lurgan would be handy but prepared to go a bit further if I can get one on Monday.

I`ve always used this guy for service, very reasonable and won`t stick the arm in,...... Hill Street, Lurgan.

Just to clarify, I am looking to purchase the part and fit it myself. I know there is Kendo and TC Reid in Belfast that sells parts. Just trying to avoid the journey.0

If I can't get the part I will give him a try. Any examples of labour costs?0 -

If you know make/model etc and are fairly competent at fitting it yourself, I have used e-spares numerous times in the past for dishwasher element (£70 from e-spares, manufacturer was looking £130) and numerous other parts for myself and relatives. Never had a problem....0 -

I agree, try espares:

Another endorsement for eSpares who also have some very useful videos on YouTube showing you how to fit parts to a range of common appliances.0

Thanks for all the replies. Someone emailed me about Multifix in Portadown. I went this morning, old one in hand and got a replacement for a tenner.
Its not exactly the same, but its working away :-) .
I will check out espares and see if I can get the exact replacement, now I am not in so much of a panic.
BTW the old one failed because of lime scale build up. I was totally shocked when I took it out. What the eye doesn't see!0 -

I didn't think we really had issues with limescale over here in Northern Ireland as most of the water comes from rivers and lakes and not much in the way of chalk landscapes. I lived in South of England for a while and water was REALLY Hard. Scale on everything. never really had issues over here though.....0
