irish EURO cheque into Northern account-clearence time?
Hi, I have a €1000 irish cheque that i want to lodge into my £ Northern bank account. I need this cheque cleared next week. Just rang the bank are they are saying it takes 6 weeks!! anyone had any recent experience of this..is this correct? Any other ways of getting it cashed? Ive already tried the Credit union with no joy

Is there something happeing at the top of the Ravenhill/Rosetta Belfast

light bulb with hint of peach
Please please PLEASE let me know if it's still possible to buy traditional (or even energy saving) light bulbs that have a hint of peach or apricot ANYWHERE in Northern Ireland. They were always a bit hard to find, but in the past Sainsburys and Homebase used to stock them ....now they don't. :sad:
