wait until it packs in. but when you do need it my advice if you are looking a condensing boiler is to try spendlove c jebb. there is one in Lderry enniskillen, newry, duncrue, belfast, lisburn
  • I tend to wait till all my appliances pack in much to the dismay of my Son's who are nagging me to get a flat screen tv a dvd recorder when i have an old tv great picture never let me down 9 years at least and a video recorder about 10 years old also never broke down both sanyo which i don't think you can buy anymore.

Although a condenser will save you more on your heating/water needs if your boiler lasts say another 2 or 3 years i bet the condensers have come down in price

i would take advice on this.. you may find that you cannot do a straight swap with
a non condensing boiler to a condensing one.

I looked into this a number of years ago.... and I was told

    1) Condensing boilers run colder than ordinardy
    2) there have been some suggestions that they require larger size rads to get the same overall heat as the water temp is lower...

    a google has found this
    http://www.modbs.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/743/New_boilers_for_old_radiators.html
which does contracdict that to an extent with the right conditions/setup....
I used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them
