Audi e-tron & EV surge protection?
I have a leased Audi A3 e-tron and during overnight charging the car has been damaged by a power surge. The car has been unable to be fixed by Audi under any form of warranty and from their final written response the liability for any such damage lies with the owners of vehicles - i.e. the car has no surge protection and…

Car Finance Cancelled
Hi guys Purchased a car on PCP, day before lockdown March 2020. First payment went out, then they refunded me. Queried it with Ford Credit and they advised the dealership cancelled the finance and to set it back up after Covid lockdown. Flagged it to dealership around August, finally signed the paperwork today. Now because…

Shortest time frame you've owned a car?
I saw the thread asking about the longest you've owned a vehicle. I'm in two minds as to whether to try sell the car i've not long bought. I'm wondering if i'll be happy with it even if the major problem can be fixed at decent cost. If it can't be fixed then the car is a problem anyway as it's not reliable for A-B-A/C…

Hi all - I hope this is the right thread. My property has a rear gate which accesses council garages. Weve been parking at the back gate with no problems for a year. Lost Log Book
I have stupidly misplaced my log book. I applied on DVLA website for a new one and it says it should take 5 working days to arrive. Has anyone else used this service to apply for a replacement log book? Does it really come within 5 working days? I have searched all over the web and can't find any verification on this.…

PCP/used car advice
I have always bought used cars, paying £1-3k and keeping them for a few years. Sick and tired of the big expenses with repairs. Just had to pay £700 on repairs and that's a few months after the MOT repairs. I plan my finances down to a T but I can't plan when my car expenditure fluxuates so much, it's a nightmere. And I…

Ford Used Car Warranty
Hello hive mind. My grandad has bought a used car from a Ford dealer where we live and I am going to collect this with him today. Choosing the proper car/engine size for 50-mile commute in London highways
I am confused about what engine size is more suitable for me. It's very confusing what kind of car is best for me now. I need to buy a used car (£2-3K budget) for commuting on either of these roads every day: * “A40, M25” (50 miles round-trip, higher speed limit) or * “M4, M25” (40 miles round-trip, lower speed limit /…

No MOT at time of crash
Hi all, Looking for advice please. My car was in the MOT centre having had an MOT and failing it. While there and stationary, another driver crashed into my car. So technically my car has been been involved in a crash while not having a valid MOT. Would this affect my insurance if I'm going to make a claim? Also a caveat…

Backed out of car sale - deposit paid to dealer but no documents signed. What should I expect?
Hi all, Looking to get some opinions on my situation. I test drove a car at a main dealership and decided to go ahead with it. It was late in the day and they were closing, so I paid a deposit (£1k) to secure the car and they said they would send me the forms to sign electronically. I didn't sign anything at all, either in…

My car insurance is due for renewal on 15th November. I had some quotes saved on comparison websites so knew what I was likely to be paying. Shared Electric Gates
Hi all, I'm looking at getting some gates installed on my shared driveway (rentals have right of way). My house is on the right and the neighbours on the left, driveway through the middle.
