Head unit powering off after a minute or so
Hi there, I've wanted to change the head unit in my 2014 Honda Civic to something a little bit more modern. I took the car to Halfords as they seemed to be good value. However, they tried installing the stereo only to find that the stereo would turn itself off after about a minute or so. They tried two different units…

Breakdown with 'National Recovery' that allows 'me' to decide if I want my car transported from A-B
I'm looking for 'National Recovery' within my breakdown cover that allows 'me' to decide if I want my car transported from say Dorset to Northumberland in the event it cannot be repaired at the roadside. Asda, Start, Gem and Emergency Assist have conditions in their policy for such a recovery, whereas the AA, RAC &…

Car Finance
Hi, I'm on the market for a new car and will be fortunate enough to pay for it outright (through unfortunate circumstances). My question is, am I better to pay it outright or put down a deposit and take out car finance? Someone said its better to pay the minimum deposit and finance the rest. What's everyone's view on this?

Hi all, Apologies if this has been asked before. I have a car on Finance (not PCP) which I got January 2019. Basically, its not practical now I have a baby and I was wondering how I can go about swapping it? I appreciate I will have to settle the balance but could I then get a cheaper car and put the outstanding amount on…

VOLUNTARY TERMINATION OF CREDIT AGREEMENT
I gave my 63 plate Vauxhall Corsa back to Vauxhall Finance after paying 50% of the credit agreement. I understood they would inspect the vehicle for reasonable wear and tear. I had never had an accident and serviced the car regularly. I bought it at 5 years old and had it for a further 2.5 years. They have since sold the…

MOT has Turbo “NA” but car has turbo?
Hi all. I took my car in for service and MOT yesterday. My car passed MOT with no advisory markers (which is good after an expensive month of tyre replacement last month!) and the full service was undertaken. My Omissions paperwork has Turbo: NA. I have a Honda CRV 2010 diesel and it is a turbo engine. I called them to ask…

What to do with an old car?
Hello all. I have ordered a brand new car for the first time, and I’m unsure what to do with my current one. It’s a 2004 Nissan Micra SE, which my Nan gave me in 2013. It runs well but it’s got 110k miles on the clock, various bumps and scrapes and bits of interior trim missing. Mid-October, two weeks before my new car…

I have received an email that is supposedly from HM Courts & Tribunal Service. It says I have the charge for use of a vehicle on a road in a charging area without payment of the appropriate charge.
