Fiat 500 Advise
I was hoping I could get some advise on what my rights are regarding a problem with my car. In January this year I finally took and passed my driving test! Being nearly 30 years old I decided that I'd treat myself and pay a bit more on finance to get a nice car. I purchased a used Fiat 500L from a well known dealership in…

Small chip in windscreen driver's side advice needed
I have had a quote via my insurance - £10 excess for a windscreen chip repair and £60 excess for replacement. The chip is in my line of vision when driving but is only a maximum of 3mm - a small round one. When the company phoned me re the repair they suggested (without seeing it) that if I don't get it replaced (rather…

Used car and manufacturers warranty.
Went to a very large car supermarket to see a 2014 Renault Clio. I had looked on Renault's main web site and it said that any Renault bought or registered after 1/2/2012 came with a 4 year warranty. My wife loved it. Asked at the sales desk if they could confirm that the car still had nearly a years Manufacturers Warranty…

Fiat Punto Pop 1.2 (13 plate) - Warning sign
Hello, Yesterday I was driving (in very heavy rain) home from work. Mid-journey the orange warning triangle flashed up on my dashboard along with the Stop/Start light. When I got home I turned the engine off and on again and the warning message cleared. This morning after about 2 minutes of driving the lights came on again…

Questor Excess Insurance or Enterprise
Morning All, I'm renting a van for day later in the month to help a family member move. It's from Enterprise, which is a short walk from my house, and the rental cost is reasonable. I've only ever rented a vehicle once, which was a small car in Australia. (Under a year old but covered in scratches - nothing on the…

Where to look for a second hand car?
I guess the big websites will be like AutoTrader & eBay. Gumtree is free so i suppose that'll be worth a shout. Anything beyond that? Not really a fan of FaceBook marketplace from what i've seen so far but maybe i shouldn't totally rule it out.

PCP car deal or straight finance
I need to buy a new car and was planning on straight finance. However, the repayment costs mean I have to accept buying a smaller car than ideally required. The dealers have talked to me about buying on PCP plan which does mean I can afford the car of choice with lower payments. I hopefully will be gainfully employed for…

Extremely expensive VED??
So my friend had a freak out moment when he went to tax the van she bought.... £240 for 12 months!! Unbelievable! Surely this can't be right? On the log book, it says the emissions are '0'. Weird, obviously that's not right, but it's a EURO 5 engine with about 136-138 do-dah of emissions. Yes, it's also registered as…

Told neighbor I pay for trampoline damage if I'm responsible, but am I responsible?
So, with the storm on monday, I heard a knock on my door. It was my neighbor who said that my children's trampoline was on top of his car. So I ran out of the house, and sure enough, the trampoline had been lifted over a six foot fence and was on top of their car. We checked the car for damage and it had a small dent on…

Brake discs - Fiat 500
Hello My wife drives a 65 plate Fiat 500 with 12k on the clock. brake discs have concentric ridges across the full width of the disc. On my car with 33k on it, the discs are pretty smooth, with concentric grooves that you might feel with a finger nail. The grooves on the 500 are more pronounced. What has happened to them?

Hi. Wonder if any gurus can help. I have a 2013 Hyundai i40. It was clubbed by another car the other day and the driver's side wing mirror is damaged. The casing is totally intact and the electric motors (to fold and adjust) are fine. I've managed to get hold of replacement glass and backing. Unfortunately, there seems to…
