Start/stop on fuel efficiency?
I have the start/stop feature. And I'm interested to know how it should be used on fuel efficiency. I totally see the sense in using it when your stationary in a jam, road works etc. But when you're just at the traffic lights, surely restarting the engine would use more fuel than just keeping it idle for 30 seconds??…

Avoiding Car Tax Overlap
If you are transferring the Registered Keeper of a car from one family member to another then there is a way of avoiding the car tax overlap. I have successfully done this on 2 occasions now and it works perfectly. On the first occasion my wife gave her car to our daughter about 3 months before the tax was due to expire.…

Bus Lane Advice
I drove along a bus lane today, that was applicable until 7pm (Birmingham). The time on my car was 7.01. But I had the radio on and the 7pm news came on as I was half way along 😩. I wondered if I will be hit with a fine or if there is any leeway like there is with speed tickets? Thanks for any advice.

Driving tests
Hello! Can anyone reassure me that what my daughter has been told is not true? Apparently driving examiners have monthly quotas for passing candidates and if your test is towards the end of the month then there is a higher chance of failure. As a test is £62, it is potentially wasted cash by youngsters if the gossip is…

How to stop edge of car door getting chipped?
We are lucky enough to have a 50 foot/15metre driveway. The brick gable end of the house is on one side and a brick wall on the other. The drive isn't very wide and the edge of the car door catches on the wall.I wouldn't dare mention who the main culprit is. I don't want to put door protectors on the door edge because we…

Hi there, i have recently been given a courtesy car by my insurance company, which I got the car from Enterprise.
