'VW' oil into a Vauxhall?

I do my own oil changes twice per year and i'd bought oil in advance ready for the winter change. Problem is the wife's car was written off.
This was the oil: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-6362-mobil-1-esp-5w-30-fully-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx "Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil"
Now i know the Astra that she's picked up requires 5w 30 and looking at the specs it lists:
"General Motors DEXOS™ 2 (Vauxhall / Opel) " under the heading of having "the following builder approvals".
Not sure what builder approvals are though.
So just the question is really, can it be used for the Astra (H 1.6) or not?

The car won't know it's VW oil.0

Pour it carefully into an unmarked container and don't tell the car.
That way it won't get upset.0 -

Esmerobbo: what does it mean with "builder approvals"? There's a heading below that on the spec list also. I know it listed Dexos2 so I assumed it'd be good but wasn't sure what this builder approval thing was all about.
And I didn't want to come afterwards after the engine had blown up talking about how I assumed and have a few muppets respond with nonsense. But then again it appears some thing are unavoidable
Thanks for your reply at least.0 -

If you put some text through auto-translate, it's not hard to get "maker" or "manufacturer" to come out as "builder"...0 -
I have an astra 2011 1.7cdti my car takes dexros 2 but i use castrol 5w30 c3 magnatec its the same spec for my car so it can go in plus its a better oil than what vauxhall use imho“People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”

Yet only one post, your own, before the link to the correct information was posted which you simply couldn't be bothered to read.0 -
"builder approvals" In simple terms the manufacturers issue a license stating the product is suitable for their products.0
