Flat tyres (Just a wee moan)
Not overly superstitious but of course today being Friday the 13th, lucky me went to drive to work but couldn't move the car. Both front tyres are completely flat! So confused as to how that even happened (Obviously I've had flats before, but never 2, let alone both front ones) I couldn't see any damage (from a very brief…

Car knocked me off my bike
I got in touch with a solicitor straight away, and then I get a letter from the driver of the car wants to claim damages from me. The problem is I have just found out we are both using the same solicitor. This is a very unusual situation I'm the first to find out, the solicitor and the car driver don't even know yet.

Not been in this situation before so I would appreciate some guidance please. Carzumo
Hi, I am selling my car and had a text from Carzumo. After filling in the details, had a very good price back. But after trying to confirm the appointment they want a refundable deposit of 50 pounds. This in itself seems dubious and can't find any reviews apart from their own online. Has anyone used them or is it a scam…

Mileage recorded incorrectly on MoT
They misread a 7 as a 1 and consequently I appear to have only done about 100 miles instead of 6000 in the last year. Do insurers use these figures to check you are doing the annual mileage you claim on the insurance application because this year it is going to look like I've done 12K miles instead of the 6K I'm insured…

Car insurance - cc or dd?
Hi all, I usually make all purchases over a single pound on my credit card (which I pay off fully every month), for items over £100 its a no-brainer. I'm about to renew my car insurance and the additional charge for using my cc I feel is unnecessary. Is there any good reason to use my credit card over debit facility for…

Renault Megane - pay £1000 to fix or scrap?
So I've just had an MOT done and it's going to cost £470 to fix the problems. As well as this, I had to call the RAC as it wasn't starting because the dash backlight stayed on causing the battery to drain. I'm not 100% sure what's causing this, but from some googling and the garage agrees, that it's probably the control…
