Motorbike Help
I'm looking into doing my CBT but struggling to understand exactly what I'm meant to do to get to where I want to be. The Government website doesn't do a very good job of explaining (could just be me). So I'm 25 (26 next month) and have held a full UK car driving licence for 7 years (8 years in Sept). If I do my CBT, can I…

Tonight we collected a new car that we purchased from a dealer that was one they had taken as a PX. The ad on ebay did not outline any issues, just that it was sold as seen, not mechanically checked and no guarantee or warranty. Hi, My motability car had it's MOT this morning and failed because it has a bulge in a tyre. Kwik Fit might not be able to get to it until tomorrow. Sitting test in own car
Hi guys Am I right in saying that you do not NEED to have a lesson before you sit your test? I am telling my wife to sit her test in our car, but she was saying you still need an official lesson before hand. I never had this when I sat it in my dads car years ago. It sounds like an instructor has told her this, and trying…

Buying a car as a learner?
I'm currently learning to drive, I hope it will take me about 3-6 months. I've found what seems to be a very good value secondhand car and just wondered what the situation with buying one as a learner is? It would be on the drive until I pass. Would I need learner insurance, or to make a SORN? Thanks.

Luckily I sold my car privately for a much higher fee. Went into the website today just for fun and the offer is now £450.00. So lesson from…

Engine warning light caused by blowing exhaust..?
Could this be? There seems to be nothing wrong - oil and coolant at the correct levels etc - except for a slight blowing of the exhaust system. A small hole, I think. Would this be enough to cause the engine warning light to show? No other warnings are illuminated.

Getting MOT done before expiry
My MOT is due to expire on 27th July. I know you can get it done up to a month prior to the expiry date if you have your current MOT and you don't 'lose' any of the time on it ie if I was to get it done today, then it would still be valid until 27th July 2016, rather than expiring on 6th July 2016. I have done this in…

medium sized dent on rental van - eek!
Hi everyone, i've got a small van on rent from enterprise. I accidentally reversed into lampost (doh!) and there is a medium sized dent at the very top of the back of the van. I've resigned myself to losing my deposit (£200) or praying they don't see it which is very unlikely. I didn't take the damage waiver excess…

Used car consumer rights?
Last Thursday I purchased a used car from a local dealer for £1800, today Sunday the gearbox packed up. Whilst no warranty or guarantee was included I'm led to believe that I still have some sort of comeback as not being fit for purpose or similar. Looking for advice on how to approach this with the dealer, especially if…
