After eighteen months of dithering, I have today paid a deposit on a year old VW Up, so hopefully have done the right thing.

Thanks to all who have proffered advice with such patience.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:

    Dithering for 18 months!
    I thought that I was a ditherer when it took me 1 month to make up my mind.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.

    I know, it is an awfully long time; I just kept changing my mind.

    I would just about make a decision and then find some bad comment online about that particular make/model, which would put me off.

    It was always going to be either a VW Up (or Skoda Citigo/Seat Mii), a Ford KA or a Hyundai i10 (put off that because of the crap reviews Hyundai have had lately for customer service).

    Anyway done and dusted now and glad that I will only have to pay £20 road tax:)
