Car tax disc
I've noticed a car near to where I live with a tax disc with no writing on it. It has the expiry date and a PO stamp, but it doesn't have the registration, class details and cost, the writing hasn't faded, it doesn't look like it was ever wrote on. How is it possible to get a tax disc like it? It expires in December 2014.

Taking CBT and theory now and then doing full test when 24
Hey all I am 22 and I want to go for my motorbike licence. I can't stand waiting any longer to get on the back of a motorbike and was thinking about doing my CBT and theory and then taking the full test when 24. My CBT and theory should still be valid then. Is this a viable option or do I have to do the CBT with A a class…

speeding offence - best option to take???
Hi My son is 21 and recently got caught speeding at 68 in a 40 on a bypass. At the time of offence he had not been driving 2 years. We have been to see a solicitor and his view was that he will get 6 points which will mean his licence will be revoked. The solicitor seemed to think this would be a better course to go down…

Help with insuring LHD vehicle with Romanian plates temporarily in UK
Hi all We have a bit of a complex situation. My husband and I are moving to France in five weeks. We were going to wait until we got there to purchase a LHD French-registered vehicle but it turns out that second-hand cars can be much more expensive in France and difficult to source. So we found a great buy on Ebay - Skoda…

"Hit and walk" incident
Just one day after collecting my "new to me" 11 month old car it has been damaged in a private car park by someone reversing into it. They obviously don't have a conscience as they must have been aware of the damage yet parked up and left the premises to visit another business unrelated to the car park owners before…

How to proceed with a NIP for speeding..?
NIP arrived for doing over 30. Two of us were driving the car that morning around the time of the "offence" but neither of us can remember who was in the car at actual time - we were helping a friend move some bulky items. The photo shows the back of the car, so cant even make out who is driving. I don't want to say it was…

Non fault accident
Hi, Im looking at upgrading my car. In 2012 one of my neighbours reversed off his drive into me (sun was in his eyes). He admitted fault, he reported it to his insurance but then we decided to sort it out between us. I told my insurance company, everyone happy. I have had a 1 ltr corsa with cheap insurance so never really…

Driveway/pavement parking obstructions. Anything we can do?
There's a house on the road leading to ours that is on a steep bend, and it's also on a hill. They've a double drive which meets the road on the lower part of the hill on the straight. However, they've always had more vehicles than they can fit on the drive, so at least one car, but more often 2, have been parked half…

Confusion over insurance
I am looking for a multi car policy for my new car and my wifes car... Aviva appears to offer what I am looking for except for on https://www.aviva.co.uk/multicar-insurance/ it says "Each vehicle’s no claim discount is kept separately. So if one vehicle has an accident, the other vehicle’s NCD isn’t affected." I always…

Wrong information on speedingticket
Hi, my husband was stopped for speeding. The road my husband was actually stopped on is…

And what things should I take into consideration when deciding which particular leather type to go for? The car I have is a Seat Ibiza 2011. Also, I don't want the new interior to look out of place. Any advice…

Badly designed roundabout or not?
Wondering what your opinions of this roundabout layout and whether you think the new road layout is poorly designed and perhaps dangerous. It's the old Saxondale roundabout at the junction of the A52 and A46 in Nottingham. If you're on the the A52 with intention of going straight over to take the old Bingham relief road…

Tyre Fitters
After my local trusty ATS closed down I've had to find a different tyre fitters and what a shower I've come across! First place I went to (a recently opened independent garage, specialising in tyres) was for 2 tyres. The guy fitting the tyres was in a mad rush as if his life depended on it, and it was nowhere near closing…

Multi car policies
I am looking for insurance cover for 2 cars (my new car and my wifes 1 year old car) Do these "multi car" policies treat both drivers and both cars as totally independent - if one driver has an accident - does it affect the other drivers no claims ? I am considering taking out my insurance policy through Quidco / Aviva -…
