Hi,
I have a chip on the passengers side smaller than a 5p. Has been there since I bought it and looks like its been filled badly by someone.
I have the mot in a few days. Should this stop me from passing it? It is kinda rough and obvious the chip but it has had a blob of something.
I can get it repaired with insurance for a tenner but would I be covered if it was got before I purchased the car?
Thanks

If someone filled it with superglue or similar then they wont be able to repair it properly.
A bodged repair is there to stay. They need to inject the correct glue and then create a vacuum to lessen the visual appearance of the chip.
They wont spend time trying to sort it if its bodged.
If you put it through the insurance you may need to declare that for the next 5 years.
Does it prevent the wipers doing their jobCensorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks, no the wipers do their job just fine. I'm not bothered about it at all, my only concern is failing the mot. So auto glass won't fix it if its had some dodgy repair on it?0

No, it won't fail the MOT.
