Please advice on purchasing leather interior

Hi Folks

I'm thinking of fitting my car's seats with leather. Where could I go in order to get a reasonable quote? And what things should I take into consideration when deciding which particular leather type to go for?

The car I have is a Seat Ibiza 2011. Also, I don't want the new interior to look out of place.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

If a similar model in the range came with a leather option, get a search on for a breaker with one in and buy the whole interior. Don't forget the door cards too as while they may not be leather inserts, they'll normally be better quality to suit the hide.
While there are craftsmen out there to create seat facings for any car, the cost is always too high to consider realistically.

Get on eBay and find a leather interior that has been taken out a write off.

A retrim in leather will likely cost a minimum of £1000/1500.

I got used leather seats, no door panels sadly, for my old V50 for less than £100.

Did the same for the wifes Clio for around £200 i think maybe less. But they were Faux leather like Mercedes Artico but from a brand new car.

Have a look on seatcupranet. I know your previous model could have Audi TT seats bolted straight swap (or fabia vas). Sure the new one will share similar with other vag models.

People buying an Ibiza have little or no expectation around the car having to have leather and are unlikely to pay much more come resale time for it.

If your seats are otherwise naff, i'd consider upgrading to the interior from a sports model from a breakers yard, but i definitely wouldnt be spending £1,000-£1,500 on bespoke leather seats for it.

A friend of mine, based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, does leather interiors, mainly for classic cars.

If you are anywhere near there I'll pass on his details.

Dont forget to inform your insurance as it will no longer be factory spec. Some wont cover modified cars.
