Multi car policies

I am looking for insurance cover for 2 cars (my new car and my wifes 1 year old car)

Do these "multi car" policies treat both drivers and both cars as totally independent - if one driver has an accident - does it affect the other drivers no claims ?

I am considering taking out my insurance policy through Quidco / Aviva - will I receive cash-back on both policies ? (ie £120)

It varies and its not always cheaper. Sometimes you can insure them with different companies for less.

I had an Admiral Multicar policy for sever years.

Then i found out a claim on one affected the others NCD.

And at the time the wife didn't acrue NCD.

This may have changed now as it was 09 when we went back to seperate policies.

    Separate NCDs with Aviva.

On admiral we got two cars. Each one has a main driver so the policy is in that drivers name (so they earn no claims) with named driver under them.

So myself got max no claims on one car with wife named driver.

Wife got a years no claims with me as named driver.

Accidents don't affect the others policy nor no claims. It's as they are separate policies and give a discount because we got two policies.
