When I asked for the full breakdown it is: £201.35 for window regulator mech + wiring + motor £61.11 for loom £95.70 for 1.1 hours…

Bump one day after MOT ran out!
I am devastated and so mad and angry with myself - really upset! My car was due for its MOT yesterday, I took it to the garage where they did some work including brakes but didn't have all the parts needed for a couple of other bits so the mechanic said he'd ring me in a couple of days. He didn't do the MOT and said it…

Admiral group asking about 'Speed Aware' courses now?
Just updating my insurance for my new car - don't even get me started on that :) , and was asked the normal accidents or convictions question, was then asked if I had done a speed awareness course in the last 5 years... Accident - driver failed to stop.
Right'o. My first post - better make it a good'un. I had the day off work yesterday. Being a gallant, chivalrous man, I offered to drop my girlfriend off at work. I was approaching a roundabout in the right-hand lane, heading for the 3rd exit, indicated right with plenty of time, slowed to 15MPH, roundabout was clear, so…

Do i pay more per month for the actual car with no MOT for 3 years etc or Do i get a 10/11 plate, which is what i have been…

Reputable online car dealers (new car)
Firstly sorry if this is an old chestnut, but I checked the stickies and ran a quick search but didn’t see any obvious results in the first five pages. The last time I bought a car (new) was 8 years ago – a Toyota Verso. At that time I found a couple of online car dealers that seemed to have a good reputation. I was…

buy to lease cars - the what?
Kept hearing buy to lease car ads on lbc a while back. I couldn;t beleive it. How do the owners make money on leasing out such a fast deprecating asset? Also if there was such a money making opportunity on leasing cars - the lease companies will go to the banks for finance rather than turning to consumers to buy into these…

Manufacturer Optional Extras & Insurance
What are the rules on insurance companies and optional extras fitted to a car? Are they up to individual companies or are there industry standards/guidelines? I ask because my wife has just called up to change insurance details as she has bought a new car. However the current underwriters won't insure it because it has…
