Car door hit mine
Just wondering what people think I should do. I was in a car park today waiting for an appointment and as I was an hour early and tired, I decided to doze off for a bit. I got woken up by a bang and the car shaking and I realised that the man in the car next to me had shoved his car door open and hit mine. He didn't seem…

Ongoing (fake)claim affecting my car insurance -can I change insurers whilst ongoing?

Back in early Jan 2012 a lady bumped her car into mine, I was turning right & she thought I was signalling for her to overtake me (yes really; who thinks that?!) My car was just moving from stationery, so doing maybe 5mph and she was overtaking so maybe 10/20mph. There…

Hi all, I'm just having a look around at possibilites for my next car (just in case my rattly old Renault doesn't make it through another winter). The Suzuki Alto 1.1 has come up on my radar on autotrader, along with the Kia Picanto and the Kia Rio. Whichever car I look at, it will probably be no younger than an 06/07…

Car-obsessed in-laws — would you keep schtum?
Advice please. I have a FIL who's obsessed with changing his car. This normally takes place about once a year, on the flimsiest of excuses he uses to justify his purchase. Last year his old car, bought secondhand and approaching its third anniversary, was traded in for a new car because it "needs an MOT". The first inkling…

Some guy claimed his car had been hit and my car was 'seen driving away.' Along with a hundred other cars in a busy car park apparently. The guy claims £1000-worth of damage to his…
