5 year old car with 5 weeks mileage!

Options
My dad who is 90 years old is selling his Honda Jazz automatic.

Nothing unusual in that, except it has covered 16 HUNDRED miles
in 5 years.

This is not an online add. for it, but merely to ask where he can get the best price.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Car mechanics magazine fell for that one. A very low mileage audi.

I pensioner owner from new, Driven to the shops when dry. When he passed away the family sold it to the magazine.

On the long journey home it started to whine, And soon after the gearbox packed up. When stripped the specialist said the bearing had rust on it.

Conclusion was this bearing sat half in the oil and half out when parked. Condensation caused the top half to rust because it was used too little.

When driven home the bearing failed.

So if you think its worth a fortune think again.

As above i wouldnt buy it, I would rather buy a 130,000 mile car.

Drive it your self for a year and put some miles on it before trying to sell it.

    That's a good idea Jim.
