European Breakdown Cover
Hi, We're off to France for a week and need European breakdown cover. Rescue My Car have quoted £32.50 but that seems a bit steep for such a short period. Anyone got any other suggestions? If we breakdown, can we just join the AA/RAC from France on the spot? I know that would be more expensive but I'm working on the…

Fuel strikes
I just queued for half an hour and was only allowed £10-worth of fuel. I've got to cross two counties this weekend to visit friends! Anyone got tips for dealing with the fuel strike? I would just encourage everyone to car-share, which I do all week to get to work, as it means I only need to fill up only half as often as…

Crikey - expired license
Hi I came across my driving license yesterday as I'd been meaning to get my 3 points taken off which were earned in 2008. However, to my shock, I noticed that they had sent me a license which would run from 2008-2009 (passed my test in 1999). So effectively, my license has been expired for 3-4 years... What's the upshot of…

To cut a long story short, I came home this evening and drove past Mr H's parked car and noticed it was dented. We found the culprit (not difficult considering…

My mum wants to sell her motorhome and I am not sure where to start to be honest. Best way to pay for a used car?
I'm hoping to upgrade to a slightly bigger and newer car fairly soon. I've never bought a car before and am wondering what is the safest way to pay when buying from a trader? The new used car could be in the region of £6K. Is there any advantage to paying the deposit by credit card, does it offer any protection? I will be…

Hello ladies and gents, I'm in need of some advice about getting a second car key cut. My current car key is slightly damaged, although it can still be used at the minute, I am scared it is going to snap in the ignition if I continue to use it. My question is, my car has a factory fitted immobiliser, with central locking…

Radio time on Cmax
I have a 54 plate Ford Focus Cmax with a CD6000 Radio. I can set the time and date manually - but the clock loses time. I can set the Radio to RDS time ON, and it should update the time automatically, but this just doesn't seem to do anything. Radio 1 and 2 left on for over an hour each. Any ideas please? Dave

Road Angel Classic - When is Lifetime Subscription not for Life?
I have had a Road Angel Classic for 6 or 7 years and paid a 'life time Subscription' in 2006 thinking that it meant, if not my life, the life of the product. Yesterday I received a letter from Road Angel telling me they were discontinuing the support subscriptions from June this year, and citing various reasons and…
